We have successfully developed an ECT+ Programme to complement the Early Career Framework. After taking feedback from ECTs, we discovered a real appetite for more specific CPD around subject knowledge and pedagogy to support their development as teachers and future leaders.
The ECT+ Programme is a series of fully funded remote twilights delivered by expert practitioners, experienced in their given area, who enable ECTs to find out more, learn new strategies, and ask questions. The sessions are designed to compliment the Early Career Framework.
Sessions so far have included ‘Understanding behaviour as communication from a mental health perspective’, ‘Autism awareness and strategies for the classroom’, and ‘Self-care and well-being for ourselves as teachers’ and are proving to be very popular and beneficial to ECTs!
All sessions will be held online & are free to all our current ECTs and those who have completed induction with East Manchester Teaching School Hub.
