The Kinder Language Hub alongside NCLE are working with key stakeholders across the Languages subject community, including the Goethe Institut and the British Council to re energise language learning, find out more about upcoming events below:

National Consortium For Languages Education (NCLE)

The NCLE is committed to strengthening practice through system leadership in languages across England to improve the learning opportunities and outcomes for all pupils. Their high quality, research-informed, evidence-based professional development is designed to support you in that mission.  To build capacity in languages across the regions, they have listened to teachers and pupils to develop their universal CPD to meet the needs of all our teachers and the needs of their pupils. Association for Language Learning

The Association for Language Learning (ALL) is now the major subject association for those involved in teaching modern foreign languages at all levels. They exist to represent and support language teachers and are committed to their ongoing professional development.  They work to support members, providing them with opportunities to access local, regional, and national training and networking events, as well as providing them with practitioner-focused and research-based publications in hard copy and online. Goethe Institut

The Goethe Institut forms part of The National Consortium for Languages Education (NCLE). The Institute of Education, together with the Goethe-Institut and the British Council are leading the nationwide hubs programme funded by the DfE.

Languagenut provides digital language resources for Primary & Secondary schools. They also host a series of webinars which you can access via their website.

British Film Institute

British Film Institute is also partnered with/supported by NCLE, they host study days and online events for primary/ secondary teachers and students.

Stephen Spender Trust is the creator of Stephen Spender Prize; the leading annual prize for poetry in translation. They also provide resources for teaching creative translation, access via their website.

Instutut Francais

The Institut français offers language upskilling online courses for Primary School Teachers and cultural reinforcement workshops for Secondary School Teachers. There is also an offer of screenings and workshops for the classroom. Find out more here
